On 1 March, Wales celebrates St David’s Day in honour of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales.

Festivities take place throughout Wales, and international Welsh Societies take the opportunity to host banquets, dinners and Welsh choir concerts.

Our international Events Calendar has profiled all of the Welsh activity, from Bangkok to Brisbane, Chicago to Chelmsford, Victoria to Vancouver, and beyond.

If you happen to be visiting New York this weekend, why not attend the St David’s Society of New York’s annual banquet? Or if you’re on a trip to Dubai, why not join the Dubai Welsh Society at their St David’s Day ball?

How about joining the Chicago Tafia for ‘Cawl and Cocktails’ this Saturday? Or perhaps the St David’s Society of Toronto dinner and comedy night?

However – and wherever – you are celebrating, we hope you have an enjoyable St David’s Day, with as many Welsh cakes as possible!

Please send us in any pictures, highlights, quotes and strap lines from your celebrations this weekend to kate.madley@walesworldwide.org or tweet us @walesworldwide.
