More than 12,000 chefs from 130 countries will get the chance to find out more about why Welsh Lamb is proving increasingly popular around the world.
Welsh red meat promotion agency Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) is attending the Sirha Food Exhibition in Lyon, France this month (26-30 January) to promote Welsh Lamb to the international catering sector.
Over 160,000 food professionals are expected to attend the event which mainly focuses on the food service and catering sectors.
HCC will have a stand at the event and will be joined by Welsh Lamb exporters in a bid to promote the unique qualities of Welsh Lamb to restaurants and food businesses around the world.
“Sirha offers us an excellent opportunity to build on the current buyers of Welsh Lamb but also to make new contacts and explore new opportunities,” said Gwyn Howells, HCC’s Chief Executive.
“Welsh Lamb is renowned throughout the world for its quality and more and more businesses are looking to serve it to their customers.”
The Sirha Food Exhibition, which is now in its 30th year, attracts thousands of visitors from around the world as well as over 800 international journalists.
